Micro current / ReSelf® therapy

This therapy has a very wide range of applications due to its generally regulating and stimulating effect. It is forany kind of diseasesofsupport and musculoskeletal systembut also everyonemetabolic processesexcellently suited. The therapy is highly effective and has not only atresounding success for chronic pain patients: In a user study, over 80 percent of those affected indicated a significant improvement in symptoms after just one treatment.

Microcurrent therapy activates the metabolism of damaged cells, accelerates that of healthy cells and thus improves the lymphatic drainage in the affected tissue. This stimulates the detoxification of the damaged region, stimulates the body's self-healing powers and thus the healing phase can be significantly shortened. This also applies to the metabolism of parts of the body that are not or only sparsely supplied with blood, such asLigaments, tendons and especially articular cartilage

Electrical currents regulate the metabolism in the body, with the current strength of the metabolism (the body's own currents) being in the microampere range (millionths of an ampere). It is therefore obvious that the electrical impulses used in a successful therapy should speak the "language of the cells" in order to ensure good communication.

According to the motto "less is more", weak stimulation (microcurrent therapy) increases physiological activity. A very strong stimulation (stimulation current or TENS) suppresses or destroys the activity of the cells. (Arndt-Schulz law)

Why is a fabric no longer working properly?

Because there is damage by atraumahas taken, that can, on the one hand, ablow from the outsidebe or but to the other, aemotional blowsuch as bad news. Both lead to a blockage in the metabolism. Likewise, our diet is not always what the metabolism needs. But alsoExcessive demands (competitive sports), overload (3 jobs) or family stressare possibilities. Several things often apply at the same time.

How does the body react to a treatment?

By stimulating with microcurrent therapy, the cells are stimulated to work better again. As a result, pain relief or mobility can be improved very quickly. Sheaccelerates healing processes by 5 times, increases thatATP (cell energy) up to 500%, improves theprotein synthesis by 70%and themembrane transport by approx. 20%(Dr. Schellenberg)

The microcurrent therapy exerts a certain training effect on the cells, which makes them work properly again.

Feelings during and after treatment, such as tiredness, a feeling of warmth or cold, light sweating, shivering or a temporary increase in pain are physiologically normal reactions that indicate that the body is responding positively to microcurrent therapy.

Therefore, treat yourself to an extensive rest phase after the treatment, as this creates the basic prerequisite for the regeneration processes of the cells.

Important: Drink at least 1.5 liters of water before and after the treatment. This is the only way to ensure an optimal reaction to the microcurrent therapy!

How often should microcurrent therapy be performed?

The frequency and intervals of microcurrent therapy depend on various factors.

Is the disease:
• acute / chronic
• recently / for a long time
• small area / large area

Discuss your personal situation with your therapist. 8 to 36 applications are necessary for a successful microcurrent therapy. The intervals between the applications depend on the clinical picture and are between 2 days and 4 to 6 weeks.

Important: Even if an improvement is achieved after a few treatments, the therapy should be continued in consultation with your therapist until the cell functions are stable!
